Jose L. Rodriguez, President & CEO - M.Ed., CPP, PSP, CFSM

Mr. Rodriguez has over 30 years of experience in the security and law enforcement field. Mr. Rodriguez is a former law enforcement Commanding Officer who holds a Master’s degree in Education from Seton Hall University. He has instructed at several colleges throughout New Jersey and has provided training to the United Nations Security Staff on Security Personnel Management, Physical Security, and Investigation methods and techniques. He serves on the executive board of Chapter 13, of ASIS International the premier security association in the world as well as four other local and regional boards. Currently, Mr. Rodriguez is closely working with the New Jersey State Attorney General’s Office by providing an interactive “Physical Security Training program for Law Enforcement Officers sponsored by ASIS International.

Rocky Termanini, VP of Technology – PhD, C.I.S.S.P. PE

Dr. Termanini Manages the IT practice in the firm and in charge of the cyber crime consulting services. Recent and on-going projects include hi-tech security systems for tracking and monitoring attacks, payment and security systems for banking and other financial services clients, which involve architecting upgrades for multi-national business models and incorporating emerging technologies. With his recent project experience and lifetime language/cultural fluency in the Middle East, he provides unique support to the needs of global businesses involved in those countries.
- Dr. Termanini’s background in Electrical Engineering and computer design leverages his knowledge in secure Internet infrastructure; complex security networks, Business Continuity, Contingency planning and Disaster Recovery and Maritime Security.
- Dr. Termanini is actively involved in Computer Forensics to combat cyber terrorism. He is technology advisor to the Connecticut Computer Crime Lab.
- Dr. Termanini is presently developing an Early Warning Predictive System (EWPS) to help pre-warn companies about pre-empted cyber attacks.
- Dr. Termanini holds a BS in Electrical Engineer, a Masters Degree in Operations Research, and PhD in Cyber Security, He is a California-registered Professional Electrical Engineer, a member of IEEE, the Computer Measurement Group (CMG), and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and member of The American College of Forensic Examiners.

- During his consulting in The Middle East, he acted as a cyber security advisor for the public sector of KSA (MOI’s Portal). Evaluation of the functional Specifications of KSA Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and Crime case management system for Law Enforcement. Responsibilities also include building relationship with security and telecom vendors for product testing and benchmarking. Proposed a security assessment of Seaports and international ships for ISPS code compliance, set up the IT architecture of global call centers, data centers and Internet service providers. Dr. Termanini has given several lectures at local and state universities.
Paul Carnicella, Consultant

Oversees all aspects of unarmed combative training in both the Risk Management and Applied Training and Consulting Division and the Program Director for Latin American and Tactical Police Division.
Background includes American Boxing, Thai Kickboxing, and Russian Sambo. Currently studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the National Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo Champion Sensei Edson Carvaho.
Primary Instructor for the Cabatives Fighting System. This system was developed specifically for police Tactical Units, Elite military units and Protective service specialists (Bodyguards). Paul has also serves as a protection agent and CAT team member for various Dignitary Protection missions to include the U.S. Secret Service.
Has trained various military groups including U.S. Army special Forces, U.S. Air Force Special Operations member and Law Enforcement Tactical Teams.
Current member of the Newark Police Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.) and currently holds the rank of detective. This team is one of the most active SWAT teams in the Easter U.S.. Gregory Sanders, Consultant – M.S., CPP, CFEI, CFII

Mr. Sanders served 16 years as a trooper with the New Jersey State Police/ last assignment was as advisor to the Governor and Attorney General’s Office on Homeland Security Initiatives and Critical Infrastructure Projects. Has served as the leading security specialist for all state owned and leased properties; developing security solutions for state assets valued in excess of 12 billion dollars; these properties to include port side facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, the Battleship USS New Jersey, and many more.
Mr. Sanders has been selected as one of a few security experts in the world to serve as a Technical Consultant to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on the new International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and SOLAS-74 Amendments. He is a chief consultant with Viosol Enterprises a Maritime and Tourism Security Consultancy in Honduras, Central America. Mr. Sanders is one of the Founding members of the Professional Security Consultants International (PSC-I) Maritime Division. He was selected to serve as a Technical Advisor for the Nation of Liberia the second largest ship registry nation at the IMO Workshop for countries in the Sub-Sahara Region of Africa regarding the ISPS Code in Calabar, Nigeria. He is a training program coordinator with Integrated Security Training Consultants in New Jersey.
Michael Barouch, Consultant

Background includes: Black Belt in Taekwondo in accordance with The World Taekwondo Federation, NRA Pistol Sharpshooter Ninth Degree, Former Range Officer and Aux. Patrolman for Livingston Township, Former member of the Emergency Management/Civil Defense Team.

Emblez Longoria, Consultant – CPP, CST, PSP, PPS

Emblez Longoria is a retired law enforcement officer with over 17 years of experience in providing protective services. Emblez earned his Certification in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University and holds international board certifications in both security management and training. He earned his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) and his Certified Security Trainer (CST) certification from the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers. Emblez is a member of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of ASIS International, as well as the Vice Chairman of the Crime & Loss Prevention Council. Emblez has instructed numerous security training courses, specializing in Physical Security, Emergency Management and Personnel Security. Emblez is also well versed in crime displacement, target hardening, mitigation and the protection of assets. He is a proponent of using hardware, software and people for the preservation of life and property. Emblez has also preformed special security projects for top corporate executives.
Emblez graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rosemont College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management. He is currently enrolled in a graduate degree program, as well as other continuing education initiatives. In 2004, Emblez expanded his security credentials by becoming a Physical Security Professional (PSP) as well as a Personal Protection Specialist (PPS). He earned his PSP certification from ASIS International and his PPS certification from the Executive Protection Institute. Emblez was also part of a select group of security professionals who were chosen to assist with the developments of a new Maritime security certification.
Today, Emblez serves as a Security Specialist with Verizon Communications. He is responsible for security in Southern New Jersey and the State of Delaware and conducts special security projects for top executives.
Robert Tordella, IT Security Consultant

Robert helps manage the IT practice in the firm and with the ethical hacking consulting services. He has recently worked at a leading healthcare firm developing a disaster recovery plan for their corporate IT infrastructure. In the past, he has worked in the entertainment industry in technical support and an assistant network administrator for a development data center. He has also held a position at a local county prosecutor’s office in the White Collar Crime unit where he exercised accounting and computer forensics to analyze cases. Also, for two years, Robert has owned a successful IT company which offered computer repair, networking, and information security consulting services.

Joseph Gonzalez, Operations Liaison / Trainer - M.Ed., PSP

Mr. Joseph A. Gonzalez has served with (MIS) M.E.R.I.T. INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES, INC. since January 2002. He has covered a myriad of responsibilities, some of which has been serving in an investigative capacity and managing security personnel, to operations management and training. His current role is as a security trainer, both for in-house personnel and various MIS clients. Inclusive of his role as trainer, Mr. Gonzalez also has a significant role in delegating services and personnel to ensure client satisfaction while maintaining adequate operational standards.
Mr. Joseph A. Gonzalez has over 14 years of experience in the field of security and public safety. Mr. Gonzalez holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from Seton Hall University. His professional experience ranges from working with the State of New Jersey Administration of the Courts, Criminal and Family Division’s for 7 years in a management capacity; to working as a Professional Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician for the last 7 years. Mr. Gonzalez has various certifications in the field of Emergency Services and has instructed at several educational institutions throughout the State of New Jersey. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the Chapter 13 Northern New Jersey chapter of The American Society for Industrial Security. He is an internationally recognized Board Certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) and has consulted many of the domestic and international clients of MIS.
