Objectives and Deliverables
Physical security has become a key component of a well structured and thorough security plan. A law enforcement officer's ability to determine how secure a "situation" is or is not, can make the difference between a business's success or failure, and or a citizen's victimization or safety. The knowledge gained through this program offers exposure to fundamental concepts and principles of physical security.
This program will serve as a basic introduction, enabling officers to increase their awareness of security related issues, security approaches and techniques while simultaneously developing assessment skills needed to improve their performance. The program also compliments and lends itself to the critical thinking skills that are required of officers so as to optimize an informed decision. The program intends to empower those with basic "physical security" knowledge, building an officer's confidence in the ability to identify threats so as to directly influence and better serve the community in which an officer serves.
Audience
This course is designed for law enforcement officers at the local, county and state level. It is further appropriate for detectives and investigators who must investigate cases of possible Terrorism, Burglary, and other related offenses
